FULLY-FUNDED INITIATIVE

ABOUT BE READY:
Equipping Egypt’s Youth for
What Comes After the Classroom

The “BeReady” Initiative, launched in April 2023 under Egypt’s National Strategy for Higher Education 2030, is a strategic intervention designed to enhance graduate employability and align higher education outcomes with labor market demands. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) in collaboration with various universities and international development partners. The initiative is considered an implementation mechanism for the Presidential Initiative “Alliance and Development” and it addresses critical gaps in skills development, youth unemployment, and stakeholder coordination.

Now, The “Be Ready: One Million Qualified Innovators” program operates on a broader level aiming to cover 36 universities and is based on an ambitious vision that seeks to empower one million young men and women over two years. It combines vocational training, digital skills, entrepreneurship, and foreign languages, along with innovation skills capacity building, in an integrated model that keeps pace with global transformations.

The Initiative operates under a multi-tiered objective structure. At its core, the program seeks to build a generation of qualified innovators by equipping them with market-relevant skills, including interpersonal, intrapersonal, and technical competencies.

The Challenge We’re Solving

Every year, thousands of students graduate with degrees but struggle to find jobs that match their potential. Meanwhile, employers increasingly value interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, digital fluency, and adaptability — areas that traditional education often overlooks.

Be Ready directly addresses this gap by offering soft skills development, hands-on coaching, and exposure to what employers actually expect. This isn’t just about learning — it’s about becoming employable.

OUR APPROACH

Unlike one-size-fits-all training, Be Ready offers you the chance to choose a Skills-Focused Journey or attend the Full Journey!

Each track focuses on a critical area of development, combining soft skills training courses, technical certification, language proficiency, and entrepreneurship — all designed to help participants build a standout professional profile.

The programs are delivered in a blended format, combining both offline, on-campus sessions through career centers and online, self-paced learning for maximum accessibility and convenience.

This hybrid model ensures that every student — no matter where they are in their academic journey — can benefit from structured
